After an excruciating wait the NCAD portfolio results finally came out this week. We had 29 students that produced work to apply to the numerous courses that NCAD have to offer. We were delighted that every student was successful in one or more courses that they applied to!
The Fashion and Art Group B students apply to numerous colleges of Art and Design throughout Ireland and the UK. Portfolio results this year have been very successful and some students are sitting on 4 or more course offers.
NCAD offer our graduates a range of courses to choose from. Our students apply to Common entry, Fine Art, Graphic Design and Moving Image, Illustration, Applied Arts which incorporates Ceramics, Glass and Metal, Textile Surface Design, Jewellery and artefacts, Product Design and Interaction Design. Every student that applied to NCAD has been successful in one or more courses that they applied to. We are very proud of our Art Group B and Fashion students as it has been a long wait for results.
They have been working hard to complete their QQI modules for final assessments which will happen in May. Most colleges of Art and Design require a minimum of 5 distinctions in a full Level 5 QQI Award. The CAO process either Leaving Cert matriculation or the QQI matriculation to secure college offers.
