We spent a wonderful evening in DITs new campus in Grangegorman where they were showcasing the work of their Visual Merchandising students. What a fantastic building and facility! Students and staff have been spoiled!
We got introduced to the staff that lecture on the course and got a private viewing of the Design studios. We have a huge progression rate to DIT so it was an opportunity to network and discuss portfolios. Staff were very aware of the students we send their way and we got to see the enthusiasm and energy that they as staff bring to DIT. Obviously they are in transition and settling in to their new campus in Grangegorman but the future is certainly exciting!
It was lovely to catch up with our previous DIFE graduates who were delighted to show us around and present the work of the Visual Merchandising Dept. Portfolio application numbers have nearly doubled for the Art and Design School in DIT this year which highlights the competition for places on these exciting courses.
We are eagerly awaiting results from DIT for our students and are certainly looking forward to seeing how our Creative Design and Fashion Design students do. If successful, they have an exciting start to their future Design careers from what we saw in DIT this evening.
