Really busy week for our students this week. Alot of them have been travelling throughout Ireland with their portfolios to show to the various colleges of Art and Design. We had students from the Creative Design(Portfolio Preparation) and Fashion(Portfolio Preparation) courses visiting GMIT, LIT, IADT and St. Angelas in Sligo.
It is always a great experience for them to see the various colleges and meet with the tutors assessing their work. We were delighted to hear that 3 of our students were offered direct entry into 2nd year in GMIT based on the strength of their portfolios! A wonderful boost for each of them! We are patiently awaiting results from NCAD which are due to arrive this week and students will then have the opportunity to decide which college they will choose in going forward with their studies next year.
Very exciting times! In the meantime we must knuckle down and concentrate on completing Fetac modules for end of year assessments which are looming soon!
