Former DIFE Graduate Showcases Degree Show

Aoife Brady was a student in the Fashion Design course in DIFE. She attended in 2016 – 2017. Aoife produced a portfolio of work and continued with her studies at Degree Level to NCAD in September 2017 where she specialised in Fashion Design. During her time in NCAD Aoife decided to do the Studio Plus year and interned in London with Juliet Herrera and HEMYCA gaining invaluable industry experience.

The Ryland collection is a womenswear collection inspired by Aoifes grandfather, his love of travel and his many other interests.  Fashion trends that were apparent in his lifetime and which were evident in many old photographs, along with ragged edges from his stamp collection, have influenced the choices of finishings and silhouettes in her beautiful illustrations.

The layering of fabrics and decorative details, along with the ruching and ruffling of different weights of fabrics have been incorporated into the designs. Oversized and tightly fitting garments were combined to create distinctive pieces.

Creating an all black collection, influenced by the old photographs that were black and white, are the essence of her timeless, bespoke collection.

We would like to wish Aoife our very best wishes for her future career in the Fashion Industry and congratulate her on her stunning Degree Collection. We are very proud of you!
